About me
Jesse holds a B.S. in Civil Engineering from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona and has completed graduate level coursework in structural engineering at California State University, Long Beach. Jesse is a Registered Civil Engineer in the State of California and is an ICC Certified Plans Examiner. He is a member of the International Code Council and the American Society of Civil Engineers. Upon graduating from CSU Pomona, Jesse spent four years with the City of Los Angeles Department of Building and Safety as a plan check engineer. During his time there, he reviewed construction documents to determine compliance with zoning, residential, and building code requirements for a wide range of projects. Currently, Jesse is an Associate Plan Check engineer with the City of Irvine, where he reviews construction documents to determine compliance with residential, building (including handicap accessibility), green building standards, and energy efficiency code requirements. Jesse has experience reviewing construction documents for a range of projects, including new residential (i.e., one/two-family dwellings and multifamily dwellings) and commercial construction, residential and commercial additions, commercial tenant improvements, and use of land permits.For KWA he provides part time code consulting, preliminary plan check services and overall solution strategies for plan check to permit project issues.
